Instant pot accessories are everywhere, and even for a seasoned user like me can get overwhelmed and confused.
I’m here to simplify your wish list and give you the lowdown on the best accessories for your Instant pot based on what you do cook or aspire to cook in your Instant Pot.
It’s no secret that I love my Instant pots.
The S is there on purpose because I have multiple electric pressure cookers.
Some are Instant pot brand and some are other brands, but I love them all for different reasons.
I remember being excited and slightly afraid when I got my first electric pressure cooker, and yes, I wasted some money on accessories, so I want to help you avoid that.
Where do I start?
The first thing everyone asks when they open their Instant Pot is what to cook first, hopefully after doing the water test to make sure that your Instant Pot works correctly.
That’s just on of the 20 tips to become an Instant Pot pro in no time.

That might be because I love to make deviled eggs, and I’ve included a link to that recipe below, but there are accessories to make that process easier, check them out below.
Whether you have a 6 quart or 8 quart Instant pot, these accessories will help you master pressure cooking in no time.
1. Ultimate Instant Pot Cookbook
This is a great cookbook to get you started. With over 800 recipes and a 4.9 star rating, it’s sure to help you get started on your Instant Pot journey.
2. Steam Diverter
Let’s be honest, one of the biggest fears when it comes to the Instant pot is the steam release.
For some people, it’s the reason they don’t use their Instant pot at all
This little guy help with that.
It’s designed to fit your hand to make releasing steam easier and safer, plus it fits several sizes and models of electric pressure cookers.
3. Extra Silicone Rings
Having extra silicone rings for your Instant pot serves multiple functions.
Some dishes you make have strong odors and those odors stay in the ring for some time.
Having a spare ring makes sure that you don’t mix those smells.
Some people reserve one color for sweet items and one for savory.
At some point, the ring may develop a tear or won’t fit properly, so it needs to be replaced.
By having a spare, you won’t get caught needing a new ring in the middle of making an important meal.
Feels great to be prepared, doesn’t it?
4. Egg Racks
Remember when I talked about making hard boiled eggs?
Here is one of the tools to make that easier because you can remove all the eggs at once from your pressure cooker.
As someone who has made hundreds if not thousands of hard boiled eggs, having egg racks is a huge time saver.
5. Cake pans – Cheesecake and Springform
Want to make a cheesecake? These two pans work amazingly well for that.
I included both of them because the one you want will depend upon what you make and which one feels better to you.
I am partial to Springform pans, but a friend of mine prefers the aluminum cheesecake pan.
Fortunately you can have both.
6 Ramekins
Ramekins are great for making individual servings in the Instant pot.
What most people don’t tell you is that you aren’t supposed to stack them so the top is completely covered.
To combat that, most people would suggest buying a stacked trivet, which you could do, but why if you don’t have to?
That’s why I recommend this shape, because you can stack them at a 90 degrees without completely covering the top of the one below it.
Problem solved without having to buy another piece of equipment.
Yay for that!
7. Yogurt Strainer
When you get better at using your Instant Pot, you may want to try making yogurt.
I have to say that the best yogurt I’ve ever eaten came from my Instant Pot.
The worst part of the process was straining the yogurt because I was cheap and used a nut milk bag.
It worked, but it was a huge mess.
I definitely would have made a lot more if I had this when I started.
8. Air Fryer Lid
Right now, air fryers are all the rage.
Who doesn’t want french fries that taste as good as the drive through?
If you’re a foodie who loves having the newest gadget and has lots of counter space, you might get a new appliance.
If not, this is a great way to have your 6 quart Instant pot do double duty and use it as an air fryer too.
It also broils, bakes, roasts, reheats and dehydrates, so it does much more than just air fries.
9. Cutting Mat with Cook Times
One of the most frustrating part of trying to adapt recipes from one appliance to another is how long to cook things.
This cutting mat takes care of that for you.
It’s a great accessory for your new air fryer lid.
10. Everything You Need Accessory Bundle
Sometimes you just want the whole enchilada in one bundle.
If that’s what you’re looking for, this bundle gives you lots of amazing items, including three magnets that help with cook times for your Instant pot.
11. Beyond Amazon
