Coworking spaces are the new normal right now.
Even when some states start to release safe at home and shelter in place restrictions, many companies are instituting new work formats.
Some families will still share coworking space at least part time.
How do you do that without driving each other crazy?
I have a few tried and true methods to keep everyone happy and successful as we navigate these new times we live in.
What is coworking?
Coworking has several meanings.
As a blogger, I work virtually with other bloggers to hold each other accountable.
In our case, we create a Facebook group on Facebook message.
Then we meet at a specific time to talk about what we’re working on.
After checking in, we set a time, usually for 50 minutes and get to work.
At the end of the 50 minutes, we reconvene to discuss our progress.
It’s amazing what we accomplish in those 50 minutes.
More importantly, if we’re struggling or get sidetracked, we get to talk about the struggle or we’re reminded to get back on task.
Family coworking space – the new office
With the onset of the safe at home and shelter in place, families are creating coworking spaces in their homes.
They are juggling online schooling with virtual business meetings, breakfast and laundry.
It can be a huge pain, but it can also be a great opportunity to learn how to work together harmoniously with the most important people in your life.
